The classes are held in Braid Hall at Morningside Parish Church on Braid Road.
The hall is a large modern room with underfloor heating and effective, adjustable vents in the walls and the ceiling. The vast room facilitates easy generous social distancing.
The high ceiling with dramatic roof windows and huge floor to ceiling windows allows plenty of natural light to shine into the space.
The classes are suitable for beginners and intermediates. Jane presents progressions of most moves. The level of challenge is modified and her detailed questions help you to ascertain the right level for you on any specific day.

Jane
Pilates is a form of exercise which can be modified to suit most levels of fitness. Pilates develops strength and mobility without building bulk in muscles.
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates during the first half of the 20th century. Joseph Pilates taught athletes and ballerinas in particular but many of his moves have since been modified to make them accessible to more people.
The Pilates Institute has modified many of Joseph Pilates’ original moves to make them suitable for most people whilst maintaining their purpose and emphasising core strength and correct posture.
The courses Jane teaches are well suited to beginners and intermediates. Jane teaches several levels for each move so you can work at the level that is right for you on that day.
