Pilates is a form of exercise which can be modified to suit most levels of fitness. Pilates develops strength and mobility without building bulk in muscles.
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates during the first half of the 20th century. Joseph Pilates taught athletes and ballerinas in particular but many of his moves have since been modified to make them accessible to more people.
The Pilates Institute has modified many of Joseph Pilates’ original moves to make them suitable for most people whilst maintaining their purpose and emphasising core strength and correct posture.
The courses Jane teaches are well suited to beginners and intermediates. Jane teaches several levels for each move so you can work at the level that is right for you on that day.
